Curated Spaces
Integrating art into the built environment to elevate experience, identity, and connection.
With a background in fine art black and white photography and experience curating private and corporate art collections in Massachusetts and New York City for many years, my journey into commercial design was inspired by one goal—to take art out of the gallery and into everyday life. My motto, Space for Art & Art for Space, reflects my belief in the powerful role art plays in shaping how we experience and connect to our environments.
I bring a deep commitment to supporting the arts and fostering community through thoughtful, intentional art placement. From curated collections in commercial lobbies to public installations, I strive to integrate visual storytelling into the built environment. Served as Chair of the Public Arts Committee for Arlington County and was an Advocate for the Arlington Arts Commission, experiences that further grounded my passion for public art and community engagement. Supporting artists and advancing the presence of art in both public and private spaces continues to be a central part of my design practice.
Engleside Cooperative Mural – Arlington, VA
Role: Curatorial and Commission Support
I assisted with the curation and commission of a mural by Arlington-based artist Kate Fleming, selected by the Engleside Cooperative to transform a worn looking retaining wall in the Courthouse neighborhood. The mural presents a layered composition of landmarks from both Arlington and Washington, DC, capturing the spirit and diversity of the region through vibrant, overlapping imagery.
This project was an incredible opportunity to support a local artist, enrich the visual landscape, and help create a lasting public art piece that adds depth and meaning to the everyday environment. It reflects my continued passion for integrating art into public spaces and fostering creative expression within the community.

Hyatt Place Arlington, Courthouse Plaza – Arlington, VA
Role: Freelance Art Consultant
Hired by Schupp Companies to curate a custom art portfolio for the lobby of the newly constructed Hyatt Place Arlington. Titled Movement & Fluidity, the collection featured works in photography, mixed media, sculpture, and painting. Artists were commissioned both locally and nationally. Each selected piece was the result of close collaboration between the artist, the client, and myself as the consultant, curated to complement the architectural intent, enhance the hospitality-focused atmosphere, and showcase the artists and their work.
"...the unique pieces of art that we've collected for "Movement and Fluidity" in the lobby create a stimulating but comfortable environment for all to enjoy."
